this is the only time i’ve ever been to the coachella music festival. my friend won tickets, so i happily joined her.
when we got there it was bright, sunny, hot and moderately crowded
Keane was playing when we got there. I hadn’t really heard of them, so I eagerly awaited Wilco since I hadn’t seen them in a long time. When they went on, I wasn’t able to get as close as I would have liked (nothing like seeing them front row at the el rey), but i got the point. The sun set while they were playing. [live music makes more sense in the dark, or so we have been trained to think.]
I saw many other bands, incl. Bauhaus and Mercury Rev (who played at the same time), but I only took pictures of a few bands. Here’s Weezer (in case the bright =w= doesn’t give it away)

something very strange happened while Coldplay was playing, but I honestly don’t remember it at all… i just ended up with two of the oddest pictures i’ve ever captured–a ghost face and a floating singer

it’s too bad my memory doesn’t work better. thank goodness for photography (?) and notes to self (when i can actually read them later).
